Wow
I haven't posted in a while. Sorry everyone, Elliana has gotten so big and has needed attention. My wife has needed more attention from me as well. I realized that I needed to spend more time with her and that meant cutting down my game time sadly. I play maybe 3 days out of the week and that's about an hour a day. I mostly play league of legends right now because it is fast and fun.

New plan of attack
This past week my wife and I decided to build cornhole boards and sell them. We got an order from a friend last weekend so we started that. Over the week it rained and stormed so it was really hard to get some painting done but we got it done.
This was the finished product and they loved it. It was a project I enjoyed doing for them. They wanted United States Coast Guard.
Past this project I want to continue building more boards and create more works of art with wood for people which will also help keep my wife home.
To the gaming portion, RocketLeagu is a very addicting toy car / soccer game. This game doesn't look like it could keep someone up till 3 in the morning but it did exactly that the first night I played it. There are different settings and different styles of play. I stayed on the 3v3 normal and 3v3 ranked. I didn't seem to see a difference in the two so I played ranked more often and had some great games.
Next up is the Witcher and gta. I got about 2 hours into the Witcher before a friend wanted to play gta with me. Gta just released some DLC content with new cars, clothes, guns and more. Gta is a game I can go to just to unleash mayhem. Get a car and go light up some fools crouching in on my territory. Or I can just get in my sweet vehicles and go for a ride.

E3 late post
Hey everyone, sorry for the late post. Having a kid really changes around my schedule. I planned on releasing this post two Fridays ago but got behind with kid stuff that I didn't have a chance. This post was also supposed to debut last Friday but again, got caught up on baby situation. Now the post is ready to go up and man am I excited for the stuff I want to talk about.
First up, I think Microsoft killed it at their conference. I love both consoles...and Nintendo but wit the "FREE" backwards capabilities Sony just can't compete when they make me buy/rent their older games. It's a good idea and worked until Microsoft unleashed their hailmary.
A few things I am excited for from E3 are many upon many games that were unleashed and unveiled. Fallout 4 Pipboy edition is a must have. I think they are sold out at the moment but do periodic sales. Follow Bethesda on twitter for updates on when they are selling pre-orders again. The gameplay that they showed really brought the wow factor and a bit of "oh man". The "oh man" is up first, why did we change the VAT system from freeze time to slow down time? I loved being able to use VATS, pause and analyze the situation I was in and determine what I needed to do next. Slowing down time won't let me have the time needed to choose my next moves out in advance.
Plus side? Dog, yay, we get a dog. Hopefully this "Companion" does better than many games ave tried in the past...i.e. getting stuck in a wall, can't go around an obstacle or just plain getting lost and are lost forever. I have high hopes though because Bethesda makes really good games and Fallout is one of the best series they have running.
We are finally getting a release for The Last Guardian. Now I can finally stop hearing the internet rave about this game that never came to be.
Kingdom Hearts 3. Wow, this game just looks stunning and is in the top 5 games I loved from E3.
Yet....another Call of Duty. I do have to say I like Activision COD a ton better than Infinity Wards version.
This has been a very successful year at E3, so many good things came out of there and I can't wait to get my hands on some of them. A few are even coming out this year. /squeee
I was at work mostly for the broadcasting so I am not up to speed on many of the other items coming from E3.
That's it for now folks. Follow me on twitter to get updates on what's going on.@the_gaming_dad

E3 prep
Who is excited to hear all about the new games coming out of E3? I know I am. I won't be able to give first hand news since I am not going but I am going to twitter post and post the Friday afterwards to bring you the news.
Until then more gaming news! Yay! This past week has been very interesting. I have been playing LoL, Smite, Wow, and The Witcher. My latest game is called Ark: Survival Evolved....it's still downloading but it looks pretty well put together for an alpha game.
WoW, I haven't had as much time as I wanted this past week to play wow but when I do I played ran some ICC for transmog items with some friends of mine.
Smite was a different story altogether. I am still on the road to lvl 30 as I am currently only halfway there from 29. The one match I had the other night turned terrible. It was an Assault match (Random playable characters) and I ended up with Nu Wa and we got destroyed...hard. There was some unhappy people on our team bu griping people will always gripe.
In LoL, I had a pretty good match trying out the new champion Ekko who is pretty OP, thanks Riot!
That's all for now. Check me out on Twitter for more updates!

Big announcement from Bethesda
I am a HUGE fan of the Fallout series and loved 3 and New Vegas. I can still go back to the on the older consoles and drop hours on end just walking around. Hopefully they can fix some of the flaws that the older games had with the new consoles such as more dynamic enemies, interactive NPC and more use of the VATS system.
First up is, dynamic enemies. In all of Bethesda games it feels like there is only one combat system for them and that is head down charge into my bow/gun depending on which game I am playing. A more dynamic style would be appreciative, make them smarter and harder to beat. Let them know "Oh, if I use this cover over here it will help me take out my enemy and I will get shot less"
More interactive NPC and VATS will go a long way. I accidentally pick up an apple from a table and every body wants me dead. I could drop a bandits head on the dinner table and have no reaction what-so-ever. A complete rework of the VATS isn't needed but an update could help. Give us more reason to aim for a part other than the head.
Smaller news, still enjoying the Witcher 3 and slowly getting back into my gaming rhythm with about 1-2 hours a day. A bit of LoL, WoW and Witcher is a good bit of fun.
Once I hear more about Fallout 4 from E3 I will be keeping you up to date. Follow me on twitter @The_Gaming_Dad for more updates and fun tidbits. Until next time Gaming Daddy OUT!

BABY!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay but last Thursday we introduced a new member of our family into the world. Elliana was born Thursday at 11:00 PM and was a tiny baby weighing only 6 lbs 7 oz. Once she was born all gaming pretty much came to an abrupt halt. Hopefully in a week or two we will be able to get a schedule set up and I can return to gaming, if only a portion of what I once played.
Now, before she was born I did have the opportunity to play The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt for two and a half days. While playing for that short time I didn't progress very far into the story so don't spoil ANYTHING for me. The beginning is pretty secluded and keeps on the story. Once we get to our first town we are able to take reign and go about the world on our own. Once this happened the story halted almost immediately and running around collecting herbs was all I did. Even after the hours of herb collecting there were only a few things I was able to create so needless to say this area of the game is extremely vast and is it's own mini game.
I have an amazing wife and she knew I was getting anxious and that video games are stress relief for me and that I didn't want to push the issue so she gave me an hour to play. An hour may not be much to some people but after 4 days straight on only a handful hours of sleep, one hour was more than enough. The game that I chose to play was the Witcher because I didn't get enough playing out of it before our baby was born and for the first 30 minutes all I did was.... run around and collect herbs. Potions and crafting is huge in this game. In one fight I go through so much "edible" food that heals our hero so the more I get now the better off I will be later in the game. After the 30 minutes of being a gardener I decide it was time to do a little combat. Combat in this game is fluid and easy to understand but at some points, hard to execute. I hope I get to play this game soon because it is such a good game. Fantasy and role playing games has always been my favorite genre in video games because I can just get lost in a world the creators made and spend hours upon hours doing things I can't in other genre games... like gathering herbs or just riding a horse across the map.
Off the gaming subject and back to my wife and baby stuff. I am doing everything I can to keep my wife home but I haven't been very successful yet. We both started blogs to hopefully generate revenue at some point to give a supplement income. I know it takes time, patience and dedication to keep a blog going to the point that it creates enough money to call it a supplement income so I have had other ideas for her. We are currently trying (unsuccessfully doing Amazons Mturk) which is basically doing surveys to make money but the amount of time to make any money isn't what we are looking for. Our next little adventure I think can turn around my outlook on her staying home. Since she is amazing at crafts we are going to try buying clearance items and create unique items to sell at our local flee market. It is a lot of work but it would keep her occupied during the day/week and hopefully bring in some money during the weekend. Plus, she really likes to do crafts so it is a win win situation.
Thanks for reading up to this point. Hopefully my next post will have game content in it from the week that my wife lets me play games :) Keep up with me on twitter and I will let you know when I game and stream.
